The Russians in the temporarily occupied territories created “youth” and militaristic movements, the entry of which was actually forced.
In Russian-occupied Berdyansk and Melitopol in the Zaporozhye region, children were forced to write letters to the Russian occupiers. On Tuesday, June 20, the Center for National Resistance reported.
“In the temporarily occupied territories, the occupation administration, through controlled teachers, forces children in school camps to write letters to the Russian occupiers,” the report said.
The CNS emphasizes that children do this under duress under the supervision of propagandists.
“The letters themselves were copied from the sample and under the dictation of Russian teachers, who were brought to the region,” the organization clarified.
CNS representatives note that the Russians in the temporarily occupied territories continue an aggressive policy of attracting Ukrainian children to Russian propaganda. Moreover, they punish parents with fines who do not want their children to visit militarized camps and participate in pro-Russian educational activities, and threaten to deprive them of parental rights.
According to the CNS, in the “schools” the occupiers created “youth” and militaristic movements, where admission was actually forced.
“Such a policy aims to destroy the self-identity of an entire generation of Ukrainians and is a sign of genocide,” added the resistance.
In April, it was reported that the Russian Federation had deported 20,000 Ukrainian children.
