The President of Ukraine believes that this is a great contribution to the restoration of historical justice and respect for millions of innocent victims.
Today, June 20, the Slovak Parliament recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky published words of thanks to the parliamentarians of neighboring countries.
“I am grateful to the Slovak parliament for recognizing the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. A timely decision is a significant contribution to the restoration of historical justice and respect for millions of innocent victims,” said the president in a statement.
Recall that Luxembourg recently recognized the Holodomor as a genocide of Ukrainians. And in May, the French Senate supported the recognition of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as a genocide of Ukrainians. Croatia also recognized the Holodomor as a genocide of Ukrainians.
