Over the past 10 days, the aggressor country most likely began to overturn parts of its troops from the Dnepr group from the eastern bank of the Dnieper to strengthen the Zaporozhye and Bakhmut areas. This was announced on June 19 by the British Ministry of Defense on Twitter.
It is noted that the invaders are redeploying thousands of servicemen of the 49th Army, including its 34th separate motorized rifle brigade, as well as units of the Airborne Forces and Marines.
The redeployment of the Dnepr group likely reflects Russia’s view that a major Ukrainian attack across the Dnieper is now less likely after the collapse of the Kakhovka dam and caused by flooding, British intelligence notes.
Recall that the British Ministry of Defense stated that during the fighting in southern Ukraine, the Russian and Ukrainian sides would suffer significant losses. It was noted that the losses of the Russians, probably reached the highest level since March, when the battle for Bakhmut was at its most intense.
