This comes a day after a Sudanese general threatened to intensify attacks against the paramilitary rapid reaction forces (RSF).

As you know, since April 15 in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan and other regions of the country, heavy fighting has been going on between the army and the Rapid Reaction Forces. The conflict, which left at least 863 people dead and 3,531 injured, arose over the country’s proposed transition to civilian rule.

According to UN estimates, at least 1.6 million Sudanese may be internally displaced within the country or refugees outside of it.
