Denys Shmyhal thanked the United Nations Development Program for its consistent assistance during a massive war and for helping to implement the Government’s urgent recovery priorities.
The United Nations Development Program, together with partners, is raising $1 billion for the restoration of Ukraine. This was announced by the head of UNDP Achim Steiner during our meeting in Kyiv, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal wrote on social networks.
“We talked about Ukraine’s needs for quick recovery and humanitarian demining. We addressed the issue of supporting displaced businesses and small and medium-sized entrepreneurs who lost their business during the war and wants to start it from scratch. UNDP is ready to help in these matters. In particular, initiatives are being prepared in the training and retraining of entrepreneurs, the development of potential export industries. Also, the UNDP is restoring the energy infrastructure,” the message said.
The head of government thanked the international partners for this timely step.
“I am grateful to the UN Development Program for consistent assistance during a massive war and for facilitating the implementation of the Government’s urgent recovery priorities,” Shmygal stressed.
Remember that Ukraine has been working for a year to pay Russia in full for its future aggression. For this, a unique compensation mechanism was created.
