Specialists of the State Environmental Inspectorate in the Lugansk region, using modern space technologies, have identified large forest fires in the Lugansk region and calculated the damage, which is more than UAH 38 billion.

In the Lugansk region, Russian aggressors destroyed more than 17 thousand hectares of forest, the total amount of environmental damage was more than 38.3 billion hryvnia. This was reported by the press service of the State Ecological Inspectorate.

“Specialists of the State Environmental Inspectorate in the Lugansk region, using modern space technologies, have identified large forest fires in the Luhansk region and calculated the damage, which is 38,364,197,367 hryvnias,” the report said.

As a result of the fires, the territory of the natural reserve fund of the National Natural Park Kremensky Forests, the Hydrological Reserve of Local Importance Kremensky Captages and part of the Lugansk Nature Reserve Trekhizbensky Steppe were damaged.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian Federation plans to cut down and sell Ukrainian forests.
