In Russia, Grebenshchikov was found guilty of “discrediting” the army

The reason was the musician’s interview with the Israeli media in May last year, where he called Russia’s actions in Ukraine fascism.

A Russian court fined the poet and musician Boris Grebenshchikov 50,000 rubles, which he found guilty under an article on “discrediting” the army, Mediazona reports.

It was noted that the reason was Grebenshchikov’s interview with Israeli Channel 9, where the musician called Russia’s actions in Ukraine fascism.

Biysultan Khamazov, a State Duma deputy from United Russia, asked to check on Grebenshchikov.

A representative of Grebenshchikov said that during the interview, the artist “expressed his personal opinion.” In addition, this interview took place in May 2022 and was posted on this channel at the same time, therefore Grebenshchikov believes that the deadline for the attraction, which is three months, was missed and he declared this in the petition .

Recall that last fall, Ukrainian singer Sergei Babkin recorded a song about the war with Russian musician and oppositionist Boris Grebenshchikov.
