The country condemned the Holodomor of 1932-1933 and recognized the crime of genocide against the Ukrainian people.
On Thursday, June 15, the Croatian government supported the parliament’s initiative to recognize the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. This was announced by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, writes Nova.
“We support the initiative presented by the parties in the Croatian Parliament,” he said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the proposed declaration of the Croatian Parliament refers to the Holodomor as a forced famine, deliberately organized by the communist Stalinist regime in Ukraine during the period 1932-1933. This is a crime of genocide against the Ukrainian people.
It will be remembered that the other day Luxembourg recognized the Holodomor as the genocide of the Ukrainians. And in May, the French Senate supported the recognition of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as a genocide of Ukrainians.
