Due to a sharp drop in the water level in the lower reservoir of the Dnieper hydroelectric power station, the station’s hydroelectric units operate with restrictions, reports Ukrhydroenergo.

Specialists of Ukrgidromettsentr temporarily suspended water level measurements in Nikopol, Dnepropetrovsk region due to silting of sensors installed below. It was reported to Ukrhydroenergo.

It is reported that experts are looking for other ways to measure.

“Due to a sharp drop in the water level in the lower reservoir of the Dnieper HPP, the hydroelectric units of the station work with restrictions. The HPP continues to accumulate water in the upper reservoirs of the Dnieper. This is necessary for ecological summer emissions,” the report said.
