A terrorist attack at this enterprise will mean an artificial man-made disaster, terrifying in its consequences, because about 200 tons of technological ammonia are used in the refrigeration equipment of the Crimean Titan, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense reported on June 12.
In the event of an explosion at the plant, an ammonia cloud, depending on the direction of the wind, will cover nearby areas in half an hour. Under the threat, first of all, will be the occupied Armyansk, Krasnoperekopsky district and the southern regions of the Kherson region.
On June 2, the Kherson region authorities warned that Russian troops might be preparing a provocation at a chemical plant in the north of Crimea. The head of the OVA, Prokudin, claimed that the Russian army brought explosives to the territory of the Crimean Titan plant and bypassed the territory.
Residents of Crimea, at least seven regions of Ukraine, Turkey and Russia, may suffer because of a possible explosion. The OVA also published a checklist on how to act in the event of a chemical hazard.
In early January 2023, at the plant in Armyansk captured by the Russians, the deployment of equipment and troops of radiation, chemical and biological protection of Russia was recorded.
