The tracks explode as a freight train passes by. The explosion damaged the freight locomotive.

In the Kirov region of Crimea (east of the peninsula) on Sunday, June 11, there was an explosion on the railway tracks. This was reported by the Baza Telegram channel and RosSMI in connection with local “authorities”.

It was found that the railway was blown up at 16:00, when a freight train passed by it. The explosion occurred right in front of the oncoming train. The locomotive driver noticed him, reacted and braked immediately.

The blast wave shattered the windows in the cab, but the driver was not injured. A freight locomotive was reported damaged.

Gauleiter of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov confirmed the damage to the railway, in connection with which the movement of trains was suspended. He did not specify the reasons for the destruction of the railways.

Earlier, the railway in Crimea was damaged on May 18. Then, due to damage to the tracks, communication between Sevastopol and Simferopol was interrupted. Before that, the tracks were blasted in February of this year.
