If today the townspeople do not save, then in a month 70% of the city will be left without water, said the head of the military administration of the city.
Every resident of Krivoy Rog must reduce water consumption by 40% due to the slowdown of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. This was announced on Sunday, June 11, by the head of the city’s military administration, Alexander Vilkul.
“Industrial enterprises have reduced their consumption to a minimum, villages near the city, where water is supplied by the Krivbassvodokanal, are supplied with water four hours a day. But the main consumer of water is the population of the city. And it is very important for everyone to reduce water consumption by 40%. This should be done by everyone,” said Vilkul.
He emphasized that the authorities began preparing for a Russian terrorist attack last year. In particular, the South and Karachunovskoye reservoirs were filled to the maximum. Vilkul said that the maximum water reserve now is for a month and a half.
“The technical solutions that need to be implemented to raise water have never been done by anyone in such a short period of time. During this time, we need to implement some serious projects so that the city can continue to have water,” said the leader of MVA.
He also pointed out that the water situation depends on the residents of the city. If now they do not save, then in a month 70% of the city will be left without water.
It can be recalled that last week Vilkul spoke about plans to implement three projects simultaneously. One – with the Agency for Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Development. Two – by city forces.
