The Ukrainian military strikes at the enemy, counterattacks, taking advantage of the fact that the Russians carried out rotational events, changed their units, Colonel Serhiy Cherevaty, spokesman for the Ukrainian Defense Forces of the Eastern Direction, said on the June 10 telethon.
At the same time, he noted that the troops of the aggressor country are trying to hit Ukrainian units: eight air strikes were carried out and 330 shellings were carried out with cannon rocket artillery.
In total, there were 6 clashes, during which our Defense Forces destroyed 138 invaders, 236 were injured, one was taken prisoner. They also destroyed the Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount, 3 armored vehicles, a D-30 howitzer, an S-60 anti-aircraft gun, a ZALA unmanned aerial vehicle, 8 ammunition depots and 7 vehicles that brought ammunition and weapons,” Cherevat said.
In addition, the colonel said that the enemy was trying to build up its defenses and, in parallel, there were attempts to counterattack Ukrainian positions, however, according to him, all these attempts failed.
On June 9, Cherevaty reported that our units had advanced up to 1.2 km in some areas.
All this is carried out as part of a defense operation that lasts for many months. The main task is to knock out the hostile potential as much as possible. We used to do it with the Wagner, now we do it with motorized rifle and airborne units,” Cherevaty said.
The representative of the eastern group noted that the enemy is waiting, not knowing where and when the Ukrainian units will strike.
