Five workers were killed in an explosion at a rocket and explosives factory near Ankara. This was announced by the Turkish Ministry of Defense on Saturday, June 10.

“There was an explosion at the factory for the production of missiles and warheads of the MKE (Machine-Building and Chemical Industry) company in Elmadag district of Ankara province. As a result, five of our workers were killed. An investigation was made launched into what happened,” the statement said.

Local media reported that the explosion occurred in the production hall. There were also injuries at the plant, and five other people were under the rubble. Rescue work is currently underway.

Remember that in May in Sweden there was an explosion at a small caliber ammunition factory. Then one of the workers was seriously injured.

Earlier in the Samara region of Russia there was an explosion at a defense plant. One person died, three were injured.
