Soldiers of the 45th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Bakhmut turned a cannon into scrap metal and destroyed the field staff with Russian ammunition. The commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky, announced this on June 9 in Telegram.
Work continues in the Bakhmut direction, where the enemy is on the defensive, Syrsky noted.
As you know, the Russian invaders continue to focus their main efforts on the Bakhmut direction. The enemy is concentrating reserves here and trying to hold their positions. The invaders are also trying to attack, but these attempts are leveled by units of the Defense Forces.
Recall, the representative of the Eastern Group of Forces, Sergei Cherevaty, said that on June 8, the Defense Forces advanced 1.2 km in some areas in the Bakhmut area. During the fighting, 120 Russians were killed, 163 were injured, 11 were captured. Three Russian guns, a Nona mortar system, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount, a Rapira anti-tank system, a Grad multiple launch rocket system, and three field ammunition depots were hit.
