Specialists of the Norwegian research organization NORSAR, engaged in the study of seismic phenomena, found that on the day of the destruction of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, an explosion occurred in the area of the station, the organization’s website says.

    .

Data from regional seismic stations show that the explosion occurred on June 6 at 2:54 local time (1:54 Norwegian time). Around this time, according to media reports, the dam collapsed.

We see a focused pulse of energy, which is typical of an explosion, Volker Oye, a seismologist at NORSAR, told US radio station NPR.

In turn, NPR notes that experts could not accurately determine the location of the explosion – according to their data, it occurred within a radius of 20-30 kilometers from the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. At the same time, Oye, in a commentary to the radio station, emphasized that explosions in this place are rare, so this can hardly be considered a coincidence.

Norway’s nuclear test-ban monitor NORSAR can be seismic signals to indicate that they had an explosion at Nova Kakhovka Dam at 02:54 AM on June 6th, kinetic activity monitoring was highly aptly used to book.

Recall that on the morning of June 6, in the part of the Kherson region occupied by Russia, the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station was destroyed – water began to be discharged downstream of the Dnieper, as a result of which thousands of residential buildings were flooded.

The Russian authorities lie that the reason for the destruction of the dam was the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Kyiv said the Russian military blew up the station from the inside. Propagandists also write that the dam collapsed on its own due to damage sustained during the war and the “unprecedentedly high” water level in the Kakhovka reservoir.
