Humanitarian aid from eight more countries is on its way and will be delivered to Ukraine soon.
Ukraine received humanitarian aid under the EU civil protection mechanism to eliminate the consequences of the enemy explosion at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. The State Emergency Service reported this on Friday, June 9.
It was determined that aid had arrived from Poland, Estonia and Germany. These are fire and rescue equipment and all-terrain vehicles, a special vehicle, a refrigerator, generators, fuel tanks, and overalls.
Humanitarian aid has also been sent from Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Finland, Austria, Denmark, Poland, France, and Norway. It will be delivered to Ukraine soon.
“True friends are always there. European colleagues support Ukraine and strengthen our rescuers. I thank everyone who immediately responded to the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station and sent a humanitarian convoy for rescuers . Thanks to the entry into the civil protection mechanism, we are working in rapid cooperation with our European colleagues,” said the head of the State Emergency Service, Sergey Kruk.
Recall that the European Union has activated the civil protection mechanism to provide assistance to Ukraine in connection with the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. Earlier, Ukraine requested international assistance from the EU in the form of equipment and machinery.
