Construction will begin immediately after the territory is liberated from the Russian occupiers, Ukrhydroenergo reported.
The project for the construction of a jumper on the Kakhovka reservoir has already been developed, the construction will begin immediately after the territory is liberated from the Russian invaders. This was announced on air at the CEO’s national telethon Ukrhydroenergo Igor Sirota, writes RBC-Ukraine.
Sirota explained that it would take at least months to make such a jumper, and he would have to work around the clock. After that, it is possible to block the reservoir of the upper level with Kakhovka, and then build the same jumper from the lower level.
As the CEO explained Ukrhydroenergoit will allow you to pump out all the water, see the consequences of the explosion and dismantle the station to build a new one in its place.
“We need two months for the upper cofferdam, two months for the lower cofferdam. We will block, stop this flow of water so that we can slowly accumulate the Kakhovka reservoir,” he said.
According to preliminary estimates, as Sirota said, it takes about a year to build the bridge and demolish the old station, and the construction of the new station will take about 5 years. However, the expert said, these are only preliminary calculations.
Recall that on June 6, the Russian invaders blew up the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. The destruction caused widespread flooding, as well as a humanitarian and environmental disaster. About 80 communities are under the threat of flooding.
It was previously reported that Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Norway and Finland, as well as the United States, have already provided humanitarian assistance in connection with the collapse of Ukraine.
