Hryhoriy Usyk, chairman of the Supreme Council of Ukraine, considers the acquisition of the status very important for Ukraine’s integration into the European Union.
The General Assembly of the European Network of Councils of Justice decided to grant observer status to the High Council of Justice. This was announced by Hryhoriy Usik, chairman of the VSP, writes the press service of the VSP.
The decision was reportedly made in response to an appeal from the High Council of Justice. Hryhoriy Usyk considers it very important on the path of Ukraine’s integration with the European Union.
“Cooperation with the European Network of Councils of Justice is a unique opportunity to establish direct contacts with representatives of more than twenty councils of justice in EU countries and EU candidate countries to exchange experiences and best practice in the functioning of the judiciary,” Usyk said.
The SCJ considers the European Network of Councils of Justice as a unique platform where there is an opportunity to study the European experience and share our own experience on the whole range of issues related to judicial activities in order to increase efficiency to work and ensure human rights in Ukraine.
It was previously reported that the Rada has revised the advertising law in line with EU standards.
