This was announced today, June 8, by the press services of the SBU and the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
It is noted that the man during the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine voluntarily joined the “people’s militia”. Having become a senior shooter, he received a weapon and carried out combat missions to seize the territory of Ukraine.
First, he participated in the fighting on the eastern front, was later transferred to the Kherson region.
In particular, together with Russian troops, he actively participated in the captured Kakhovka and the looting of local dwellings in 2022.
During robbery attacks, he used weapons and threatened to kill him in case of resistance, the SBU notes. – Thus, the rashists “carried out” everything from the dwellings of citizens – from household appliances to money and other valuable things.
In December 2022, he was captured during a clash in the Kherson direction.
The court found the attacker guilty under three articles of the Criminal Code:
- Part 1 Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war);
- Part 2 Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law);
- Part 5 Art. 260 (participation in the activities of armed formations not provided for by law).
