Due to the weakening of the occupiers of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, the water level in the Nikolaev water area as a whole rose by 77 cm. This was announced by the city mayor Alexander Senkevich on June 7.
“There is a noticeable rise in water on the beaches of Namyva, the Ship District, the Salt microdistrict, in the yacht club, in separate sections of Bolshaya Korenikha, Shirokaya Balka,” he specified.
The mayor added that all city services are working in an improved mode.
Earlier it was reported that as a result of the damage of the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, bridges in the Snegirevsky district of the Nikolaev region were destroyed and flooded.
Recall that on the night of June 6, Russian troops blew up the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, which caused large-scale flooding in the territories of the Kherson region and caused great environmental, economic and humanitarian damage to Ukraine.
