Background
On June 1, the High Council of Justice appointed 16 new members of the High Qualifications Commission of Judges. This will unlock the work of the VKKS, which has not been working since 2019.
Therefore, from now on, the decision on a judge’s business trip to another court of the same level and specialization for the administration of justice, as well as on the early termination of a judge’s business trip, will be made by the VRP based on the submission of the HCCCU.
In connection with the restoration of the plenipotentiary composition of the High Qualifications Commission of Judges of Ukraine, the High Council of Justice submitted to the Commission 18 travel materials and two materials on the early termination of the business trip of judges, which were under consideration by the HRP and whose consideration has not been completed.
During the absence of the authorized composition of the HCCCU, the VRP took decisions, without recommendation or presentation of the Commission, in particular, on the business trip of a judge to another court of the same level and specialization, and on the early termination of the business trip of a judge.
