the occupiers moved explosives and equipment to carry out a remote detonation of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. The Ukrainian military possesses such evidence. Andrei Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, stated this on the air of a telethon on June 6.
There are facts of the movement of explosives, corresponding to the technology by the Russians for the implementation of a controlled remote explosion – there are certainly such facts and evidence, – he noted.
The representative of the GUR added that exact estimates of the explosive power will be given later.
Meanwhile, The Insider, citing a relevant decision dated May 30, published on the official Internet portal of legal information of the Russian Federation, reported that a week before the explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, the Russian authorities allowed not to investigate accidents at hazardous facilities that occurred as a result of “military actions” and terrorist attacks. This decision also applied to the temporarily occupied territories, which the aggressor country considers “its own”.
The media also reported that before destroying the hydroelectric power station, the Russians raised the water level to a record 17.5 m and left the gates closed. Probably, in this way the enemy wanted to flood a vast territory in order to prevent the Armed Forces of Ukraine from conducting a counteroffensive.
Recall that on June 6, at about 2.30 am, the Russian army blew up the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, which created a mortal danger for Ukrainians in settlements on both banks of the Dnieper below the Kakhovka reservoir. Ukrhydroenergo said that the station was completely destroyed and cannot be restored.
The president’s office reported that the dam could have been blown up by the 205th motorized rifle unit of the Russian army.
