The court granted the petition in full, taking into account the accused’s systematic absence from court hearings.
The High Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) granted the request of the prosecutor’s office to place on the international wanted list a representative of the Kyiv City Council, accused of taking bribes. This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) on Monday, June 5.
“The VAKS panel of judges granted the SAPO prosecutor’s request to place on the international wanted list a deputy of the Kyiv City Council, accused of receiving UAH 1.39 million in illegal benefits,” the report said.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the court granted the petition in full, taking into account the systematic absence of the accused from court hearings and the presence of confirmed information about crossing the border.
“The petition to become a state revenue bail in the amount of UAH 9 million 886,000 and to choose the accused a measure of restraint in the form of detention will be considered at the next meeting – June 12,” the message said.
The message does not indicate the representative’s name, but the details of the case make it clear that he is talking about Vladislav Trubitsyn.
Earlier, journalists from the Scheme project (Radio Liberty) reported that deputy Trubitsyn, who was accused of bribery by SAP and NABU and twice failed to attend a VAKS meeting, left on May 13 to another country towards Poland. This became possible thanks to the permission of the head of the State Border Service, Sergei Deineko, based on a letter from the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov.
Also, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained why they facilitated the departure of deputy Trubitsyn.
