The situation in the city is conditionally stable, the southwestern outskirts of the country are under the control of the Ukrainian military.
The situation in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, on Saturday, June 3, is conditionally stable. This is what the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Anna Malyar, said on Telegram.
“We control the south-western outskirts of the city. The Wagnerites have not yet completely left the city. They are carrying out instructional work with the arriving detachments of the regular army,” he wrote.
Malyar also emphasized that the enemy tried to recover lost positions in the direction of Bakhmut, but was unable to do so.
“The enemy continues to focus its main efforts in the east to reach the borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. However, the enemy cannot advance due to the strong resistance of our defense forces,” the deputy chief of defense said the ministry.
At the same time, he stressed, the situation is not so important, but rather changing.
“For several months in a row, the enemy advanced to the east in four directions – Avdeevsky, Maryinsky, Limansky and Bakhmutsky. Later, it periodically intensified in two more directions – Shakhtyorsky and Kupyansky. During this period, failed the enemy to reach. the borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The enemy is tired and is now replacing troops and regrouping,” said Malyar.
In all directions, the Russian invaders did not stop shelling and airstrikes.
“The geography of offensive operations is quite different. In three of the indicated directions – Bakhmutskoye, Avdeevskoye, Miners – the enemy did not conduct offensive operations during the day. (…) In the other three directions – Kupyanskoye, Limanskoye, Maryinskoye – the enemy is active and is conducting quite intensive offensive operations – but to no avail,” said the deputy defense minister.
The enemy is anticipating and conducting air strikes in border regions from the Russian Federation. In the direction of Zaporozhye and Kherson, the enemy is on the defensive.
Remember, according to British intelligence, the so-called “elite” troops of the Russian Federation, who replaced the mercenaries of the Wagner PMC in Bakhmut, will be less flexible in responding to challenges.
