It is reported by Bloomberg.
We continue to work with a range of global partners to provide Ukraine with the sustainable satellite and communications capabilities it needs. Satellite communications constitute a vital layer in Ukraine’s overall communications network, and the Pentagon has contracted Starlink for this type of service, the Pentagon said in a statement.
The US Department of Defense, for reasons of operational security, will not disclose the cost of the contract or their total number, as well as additional information about specific capabilities, contracts or partners.
The terminals are likely to be acquired as part of the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, which provides for the country’s long-term security needs.
Recall that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has already received 42,000 Starlink terminals that provide critical infrastructure with communications.
