The British Foreign Office said Kyiv has the right to use military force outside its borders to undermine Russia’s ability to use military force in Ukraine.
Ukraine has the legal right to use military force outside its territory in self-defense. This, commenting on the attack of drones in Moscow, on Tuesday, May 30, said the British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley, reports Sky News.
“It (Kyiv – ed.) has the legal right to do this within its own borders, of course, but it also has the right to use military force outside its borders to undermine Russia’s ability to use military force in Ukraine,” Cleverly said.
He noted that attacks on legitimate military targets outside Ukraine are part of Kyiv’s self-defense.
“We have to admit it,” he said. At the same time, the minister noted that he would not think about the nature of the attack on Moscow.
As reported, the White House said that the United States does not support attacks on Russian territory, but that the Kremlin is the aggressor and can stop the war at any time.
