Russia will only be ready for negotiations if it wins the war, the head of EU diplomacy believes.
Russia will only start negotiations if it wins the war against Ukraine. This is what the Vice-President of the European Commission, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, CNN reports.
The diplomat noted that he sees Russia’s “undisguised intention to win the war.”
“I am not optimistic about what will happen in Ukraine this summer. I see the concentration of troops on both sides, I see the clear intention of Russia to win the war, (Russia, – ed.) is not will go to negotiations until it wins the war,” he said. Borrell.
It will be remembered that the other day Russia announced the requirements for “achieving peace” in Ukraine. The Office of the President announced that the Russian Federation, which announced its conditions for the end of the war on the territory of Ukraine, reconfirmed its absence.
