It can be recalled that on Saturday, May 27, the High Council of Justice agreed to keep the judge in custody. This decision was made as a result of considering the submission of the Deputy Prosecutor General, which was received by the Supreme Court of Justice on May 26, 2023.
As you know, at a checkpoint in Kyiv, a judge of the Makarovsky District Court, Aleksey Tandyr, beat a National Guardsman to death. When the judge’s car was searched, a bottle of alcohol was found, but the judge refused to test for intoxication.
In addition, the court agreed to forcibly take biological samples from Tandyr for analysis, because after being detained by law enforcement officers, the judge refused to be tested for alcohol and drugs, although he had visual signs of intoxication.
