Denmark has opened a special investment fund for Ukraine in the amount of one billion Danish kroner ($133 million). This was reported by the Government portal.
The launch of the Danish investment fund’s social program was announced at the Ukrainian investment forum in Copenhagen on 26 May.
First Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko noted that Denmark is one of the leaders in financial aid to Ukraine. In particular, since the beginning of the massive invasion, total military support for Copenhagen has reached $1.4 billion, and total humanitarian aid, including macro-financial aid, has reached $212 million.
The government of Ukraine expects the deepening of bilateral cooperation and further participation of Danish businesses in projects for the restoration of Ukraine, he added.
The forum announced the approval of funding for two pilot projects in the field of agriculture and agro-processing. We are talking about the affected companies in the southern region – Nibulon, which will be given a loan of 25 million euros, and Agrofusion – 15 million euros.
Loans will also be given to agricultural companies located near the front line in Mykolaiv, which will restore damaged production facilities by purchasing equipment from Danish exporters.
Recall that Acting Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen assured that Denmark will make many efforts to train Ukrainian F-16 fighter pilots.
