The armed forces of Ukraine have the necessary minimum of weapons to launch a counteroffensive. However, in order to push the occupying Russian army from our territory, more weapons are needed, including Western fighters.

    .

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, stated this in an interview with the Japanese television channel NHK.

Many civilians are still under Russian occupation and there is no more time to waste. We already have the necessary minimum of weapons. I can only say that the counteroffensive will begin in the near future, Budanov said.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is preparing very important counter-offensive actions, but they need a little more time to start. The head of the GUR also pointed out the need to oust Russian forces from Ukraine.

We must drive Russia out of our territory. We must use all our strength and means to achieve this goal. We need large stocks of weapons and ammunition to successfully continue the operation, Budanov stressed.

Recall, NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov noted that there could be several counteroffensives, and hostilities would continue until the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberate all temporarily occupied territories.
