Ukrainian gunners used the M777 155mm howitzer to destroy the Russian 2A36 Giacint-B 152mm cannon. The American precision-guided munition M982 Excalibur hit the hidden cannon.
The Ukrainian military continues to knock out the military equipment of the invaders in the Kherson region. On the left bank of the Dnieper, the Russians are trying to disguise and hide their armored vehicles. However, in the vicinity of the city of Holaya Pristan, Ukrainian intelligence discovered a tank that was hidden in a building.
As a result of accurate strikes, the tank was completely destroyed – the turret was torn off from the combat vehicle.
Naked Pristan has been under Russian occupation since February 2022.
“Military” writes that on the left bank the 406th separate artillery brigade received Russian artillery near the village of Nechaevo. In the southern direction, aerial reconnaissance discovered a camouflaged Russian cannon.
Our gunners did not miss their chance and, after a successful hunt, destroyed the enemy’s Hyacinth cannon,” the military said.

Their accuracy literally turns artillery weapons into sniper weapons. According to manufacturer Raytheon, it will take up to 10 conventional projectiles to achieve the accuracy of one M982.
Excalibur is an active-rocket projectile and its firing range depends on the artillery system. At the same time, it is extremely important that these projectiles can be fired from any modern NATO-standard artillery system.
