The heavy losses of the Russian Federation in the war with Ukraine are forcing the occupiers to increasingly use civilian medical facilities in the temporarily occupied territories for their own purposes.

In particular, in the temporarily occupied Luhansk, the invaders turned the railway hospital into a military hospital, where wounded servicemen of the Russian Federation and mercenaries from the Wagner private military company are treated. This is stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for May 19.
They also reported new enemy losses. Yesterday, May 18, planes, helicopters and drones of the Air Force launched seven strikes on areas where enemy personnel and military equipment were concentrated.
And the units of the missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the area of concentration of weapons and military equipment, ammunition, three artillery units in firing positions, an enemy anti-aircraft missile system, seven electronic combat stations and a radar station.
The main hostilities continue precisely in the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions. Over the past day, 29 clashes took place in these sectors of the front. The fiercest battles continue for Bakhmut and Marinka.
Also, the General Staff reported that yesterday 600 Russian invaders were liquidated, and since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has already lost 201,760 soldiers, officers and mercenaries.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to May 19, 2023 were approximately:
- personnel – about 201 thousand 760 (+660) people liquidated,
- tanks – 3 thousand 777 (+4) units,
- armored combat vehicles – 7 thousand 377 (+4) units,
- artillery systems – 3 thousand 210 (+12) units,
- MLRS – 564 (+1) units,
- air defense systems – 319 (+1) units,
- aircraft – 308 (+0) units,
- helicopters – 294 (+0) units,
- UAVs of the operational-tactical level – 2 thousand 769 (+10),
- cruise missiles – 1 thousand 11 (+21),
- ships/boats – 18 (+0) units,
- automotive equipment and tankers – 6 thousand 83 (+10) units,
- special equipment – 419 (+1).
Recall that on May 17, in the Bakhmut direction, the invaders lost 130 fighters dead, 145 wounded, four were captured. And the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area advanced to a distance of up to 1,700 meters.
