In particular, nine companies associated with the Russian state nuclear energy company Rosatom and producing advanced materials and technologies, including lasers, were subject to new British sanctions. For example, the company UMATEX, which produces composite materials based on carbon fiber, which can be used for military purposes. And TRINITI’s developments in the field of laser physics are also financed by Russia. This is stated on the website of the British government.
Also on the sanctions list were five financial institutions of the aggressor country – Doma.RF, Metallinvestbank, Rosbank, the All-Russian Regional Development Bank and Tinkoff Bank.
In addition, British sanctions apply to the directorate of the armed Kalashnikov concern, the boards of directors of Gazprom Neft and Transneft, and Oleg Romanenko, the occupying head of the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
The restrictions will also affect 24 people and companies related to transport services. Sanctions were imposed against those involved in the theft of Ukrainian grain. These are Pawell Shipping Co, the State Grain Corporation and six Russian shipping companies, including Sun Ship Management.
Recall that on May 12, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky approved ten-year sanctions against 200 defense enterprises of Russia and Belarus. The list included Roskosmos, the Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, JSC GLONASS, the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Special Design and Technology Bureau Tekhnolog.
