Pentagon: Patriot repaired and returned to service

Sabrina Singh said the damaged complex has been repaired and is back in full operation.

The Patriot air defense system that was damaged in Ukraine has been repaired and fully restored to work. This is what Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said in a briefing on May 18.

“The damaged Patriot system in Ukraine has been repaired and fully returned to service,” he stressed.

We remind, earlier the American media, referring to the statements of unknown officials, reported that the Patriot system received “minimal” damage as a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of May 16.

Specifically, US officials told CNN that the system was operational and that the Patriot radar, one of its critical components, was not damaged. It is not known which part of the Patriot air defense system was damaged as a result of the missile attack or falling debris.
