The Ukrainian military on Wednesday, May 17, had dozens of combat clashes with the enemy and delivered a number of strikes against important enemy targets.

The Russians continue to concentrate their main efforts on four directions of the front – Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky. Today there were 25 combat clashes in these areas. Bakhmut and Marinka remain the epicenter of hostilities. This is stated in the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Today, the Air Force aviation has worked powerfully. Airplanes, helicopters and drones delivered 14 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the Russians. Of these, five strikes were on the anti-aircraft missile systems of the occupying forces. The military also shot down two reconnaissance drones of the Orlan-10 type.
And the units of the missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit the command post, six areas of concentration of manpower, two ammunition trains, two compositions of fuel and lubricants, destroyed an artillery unit in a firing position, two air defense systems and two more important hostile targets.
Recall, the command of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on May 16, units of the Defense Forces managed to advance 500 meters in different parts of the Bakhmut direction. The Ukrainian military conducts a defensive operation and from time to time attacks on the flanks.
