Poland plans to sign a new agreement with Ukraine on good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation by the end of the year. This was announced by Lukasz Yassina, spokesperson of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Ukrinform reports.
“We aim to sign an updated basic agreement as soon as both parties finalize its content. We are trying to make it happen this year,” he said.
According to the press secretary of the Polish Foreign Ministry, the Polish side wants this to be a broad agreement that will transform the relationship between the two countries into a strategic one, deepening the partnership at the level of states and societies.
It was previously reported that the Polish Senate supported Ukraine’s accession to NATO.
