This was announced today, May 17, by the press center of the SBU.
Among other things, the defendants recorded the results of the defeat of Russian cruise and ballistic missiles. Thus, they could reveal the location and specifics of the domestic air defense, the SBU emphasizes.
It is noted that in a matter of minutes these videos were “picked up” by numerous Telegram channels and Russian propaganda publics, including Internet resources controlled by the special services of the aggressor country.
In addition, SBU cyber experts blocked the operation of online cameras that automatically recorded the work of Ukrainian air defense.
According to the investigation, the detected video cameras are on the balance sheet of several metropolitan commercial structures, the SBU notes. – At the same time, access to the captured files was open to a wide range of “users” who posted the video of the night attack on Kyiv in the public domain on YouTube.
It is noted that the invaders could use the information received from such cameras to correct repeated air strikes on Kyiv.
In the course of urgent investigative actions at the places of actual residence of the defendants, mobile phones and computer equipment were seized, which they used to distribute prohibited content.
Open criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code (unauthorized dissemination of information about the direction, movement of weapons, weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, committed under martial law).
Comprehensive measures continue to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice. The perpetrators face up to eight years in prison.
The SBU notes: it is forbidden to shoot and publish video and photographic materials about the activities of the Defense Forces, as well as the consequences of enemy shelling. The publication of such materials on the Internet is regarded as a correction of enemy fire and is a punishable crime under the law.
