Dmitry Tabachnik, the former Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, received two more suspicions – for aiding the aggressor state of Russia and violating the laws and customs of war. As the Security Service of Ukraine reported on May 12, the ex-minister is cooperating with the FSB and the so-called Kadyrov’s watcher Murad Saidov, is engaged in “reformatting” the educational and medical industries in the occupied territories of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, and also participated in organizing pseudo-dooms.

In November 2022, Tabachnik was charged with high treason. In April of this year, he became an “adviser” to the head of the occupation administration of the Zaporozhye region, Evgen Balitsky. He also runs for deputies from Putin’s “United Russia”.
It was under the coordination of Tabachnik that most of the educational institutions and hospitals in the temporarily occupied region were converted into barracks for the Russian occupation groups. The facts of the role of the person involved in the plundering of the property of the inhabitants of Melitopol were also established. Together with Saidov, in April last year, they organized the export of agricultural machinery to the Crimea from the warehouses of a local agricultural holding.
Recall that earlier investigators of the Security Service collected evidence on the commission of crimes against the foundations of national security of Ukraine by the former Minister of Education and Science of the times of Yanukovych. It has been established that after the large-scale invasion of Russia, the ex-regional actively “consults” the leaders of the Russian occupation administrations of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. On February 4, 2023, President Volodymyr Zelensky, by his decree, deprived Tabachnyk and a number of officials from the Yanukovych era of Ukrainian citizenship based on the decision of the National Security and Defense Council.
