The Ukrainian underground destroyed the symbol of the occupation – the bust of the Bolshevik leader placed by the occupiers in the alley of the City Garden.
Residents of the temporarily occupied Mariupol smashed the bust of Vladimir Lenin, erected by the Russians after capturing the city. This was reported by the press service of the Mariupol City Council on its Telegram channel on Friday, May 12.
The Russian occupiers erected a bust of the Bolshevik leader in the City Garden alley in early 2023, despite the fact that there had never been a pedestal there before.
“The citizens of Mariupol do not want to return to the USSR and remain in Russia, which drags them into the past. They strive for liberation and return to Ukraine. After all, they know that only then will real progress and restoration is possible!”
It will be recalled that the adviser of the mayor of Mariupol published photos and videos showing that many residents of Mariupol do not trust the Russians and oppose the propaganda.
