The head of state spoke with the head of the European Council and the Prime Minister of Canada on financial and military support for Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with European Council leader Charles Michel and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on aid issues in Ukraine. The head of state spoke about it in an evening video message on Tuesday, May 24.
“Today I spoke with the President of the European Council Charles Michel. At the end of May, an important meeting of the European Council was held on issues of aid to Ukraine. Therefore, we coordinated positions, including “strengthening sanctions against Russia. I also spoke with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. First of all on defense support for Ukraine,” Zelensky said.
He added that he also talked to the head of the Canadian government who provides Ukraine with the full amount of assistance, including financial assistance, needed to defeat the occupiers.
Earlier it was reported that the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, had a telephone conversation with top American officials about the expulsion of attack on Ukraine.
