Sweden has focused its efforts on training and maintaining the weapons that have already been deployed.
Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonsson said that his country now has no opportunity to transfer Jasplane fighters to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, SVT TV channel reports.
“We don’t have any surplus Jasplane aircraft that we can send to Ukraine,” Jonson insisted.
It is reported that Sweden is focusing its efforts on training and maintaining the weapons that have already been sent.
It will be recalled that the US Department of Defense announced the allocation of a new military aid package to Ukraine totaling $1.2 billion.
Earlier, on May 3, the United States announced a $300 million military aid package for Ukraine. This includes a variety of ammunition, including for HIMARS, as well as Hydra 70 missiles.
