On the night of May 8, Russian troops attacked the Kiev region with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones, and the Odessa region with missiles. This was reported by the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It was noted that the enemy fired 35 UAVs that attacked from the northern direction – the Sescha airfield in the Bryansk region.
“All 35 Shahed-136/131 were destroyed by the air defense forces and means of the Air Command Center, in cooperation with parts of the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” the military stressed.
Also, at about midnight, the Russian invaders attacked the Odessa region from Tu-22M3 long-range bombers. A total of eight launches were conducted from the Cape Tarkhankut area (occupied Crimea).
“Some of the missiles did not reach their targets. The local military administration will report on the consequences of the hits,” the command added.
Earlier it was reported that Kyiv survived another air attack, in which more than 30 drones were destroyed. Due to falling debris in the capital, there are damaged houses, road surface, vehicles. Five people were injured.
