The Main Director of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia said that as a result of a fire that broke out in the Urals, two warehouses with gunpowder were burned. At the same time, “there were no major explosions,” reports RosSMI.
It was noted that the fire destroyed two warehouses with gunpowder in the village of Pervomaisky, Sverdlovsk region. The fire did not reach the other three warehouses where the TNT was stored.
“One of the burned warehouses was empty, the second one was filled with gunpowder. TNT was stored in warehouses saved from the fire,” the publication said.
The region’s emergency services noted that no major explosions and destruction were recorded, but “small pops occurred.”
According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, warehouses with an area of 960 sq. m, where the gunpowder was stored, the fire spread to the forest. The warehouses are owned by the arms company Hephaestus-M.
Earlier it was reported that warehouses with gunpowder burned in the Sverdlovsk region of the Russian Federation. It is known that the fire threatens another 18 adjacent warehouses.
It was also reported that in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation on the evening of Wednesday, May 3, an oil depot at the port caught fire.
