Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation completed a special pre-trial investigation against nine former law enforcement officers from the Lugansk region, who began working in fake bodies of the terrorist organization “LNR”.
Nine law enforcement officials from the Luhansk region will be tried for high treason and collaboration activities. This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.
It is reported that SBI officials have completed a special pre-trial investigation against nine former law enforcement officers from the Lugansk region, who began working in fake bodies of the terrorist organization “LNR.” The charges were sent to the court.
“After the Russian invasion of the territory of Ukraine, the defendants changed their oath and went to the side of the enemy in activities among the local population to form a” positive “image of the invaders,” said the SBI.
Two other defendants took positions in the on-duty fake law enforcement agency – the Novopskovskaya militia.
“The former guards of the law motivated their acquaintances and those who, on the eve of the mass invasion of Russia, were trained in the police of the Starobelsky district, to begin serving in the” people’s militia, “the service of Bureau of Investigation Report press.
The remaining three former law enforcement officials swore allegiance to the terrorist organization “LNR” in July 2022.
“One of them went over to the side of the occupiers in 2014. For eight years, he diligently hid his cooperation with the aggressor from the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. LPR,” the State Bureau of Investigation reports.
Six defendants were accused of high treason, the penalty of which the relevant article provides for life imprisonment for confiscation of property. Three other former law enforcement officers were accused of collaborative activities, they face up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
