It is the successful actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the battlefield that can push the allies to provide Ukraine with fighters. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on May 3 during a press conference with Finnish President Sauli Niinostiio in Helsinki.
First we go forward, we show that in three days we cannot be captured, and then they give us some kind of weapon. So why am I sure that we will have planes? Because soon we will have offensive actions. And after them, I am sure, we will be given planes,” the head of state said.
At the same time, Niinostio explained that Finland would not be able to transfer its Hornet fighters to Kyiv until it received a new replacement.
Recall that on May 3, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived on an unannounced visit to Finland, where he will meet with the leadership of this country. The meeting was supposed to be devoted to support for Ukraine and other topical security issues.
