In the border region of the Russian Federation, for the second day in a row, freight trains were derailed due to damage to the railway track.

In the Bryansk region of Russia, a freight train derailed again due to damage to the railway track. This was announced on the evening of Tuesday, May 2, by the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz.

“An unidentified explosive device exploded in the area of the Snezhetsk railway station. No one was killed. As a result of the incident, a locomotive and several wagons of a freight train were derailed. All operational services are working in the area,” wrote by Bogomaz.

Russian Railways reported that the incident occurred at 19:47 near Snezhetskaya station, just east of Bryansk.

According to Russian railway workers, 20 wagons of a freight train and a locomotive derailed. No harm done. The reason is called “illegal interference in the work of railway transportation.”

Movement of trains in this section has stopped.

Social networks wrote that the train was carrying oil products or, according to other sources, propane and lime.

It will be remembered that a day before in the Bryansk region, due to the operation of an explosive device, a locomotive derailed. The train carries fuel and construction materials. According to media reports, Russia was left without a diesel locomotive, four wagons and 12 tons of diesel fuel.
