According to the American general, compared to last year, the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have significantly expanded due to the supply of weapons. Milley declined to comment on a possible counteroffensive, but noted that the Allies had jointly armed nine armored and motorized infantry brigades.
I would say that the Ukrainians now have the ability to attack, they can carry out offensive operations, and they also have the ability to defend, greatly expanded compared to what it was just a year ago. So I think their ability has increased significantly. They can be both offensive and defensive,” added Milli.
He stressed that for a counter-offensive, Ukraine must do a significant amount of planning and coordination work.
