The Verkhovna Rada today approved bills that simplify the workflow and treatment of military personnel, as well as increasing the number of places for military medical commissions to work.
This was announced on May 2 by People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
The parliamentary committee on national security indicated that thanks to these regulations, the documents will “follow” the military, and not vice versa. This will reduce the problems of queues and unnecessary bureaucracy. We are talking about bills No. 9158 and No. 9154. The first introduces a mechanism for sending medical and other documents between the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCC SP), a military healthcare institution and a military unit.
This will help solve the problems of queues and excessive bureaucracy so that the wounded and those under treatment do not stand in queues to receive one or another certificate from the military medical commission, – said Alexander Zavitnevich, chairman of the committee on national security, defense and intelligence.
To obtain a certificate of the circumstances of the injury, it will now be possible not to conduct an investigation. We are talking about wounds, contusions and injuries as a result of combat defeats or actions by the enemy in the area of combat operations. According to Zavitnevich, a certificate of injury will be drawn up within five days based on the report of the direct commander and the order of the commander of the military unit. For the same number of days, the certificate will be sent to the military health care institution or TCK SP.
A healthcare institution or TCC SP is required to send documents in paper form, if this is not possible in electronic form.
The second draft of the law supplements the list of places where military medical commissions can be created by health care institutions of the security and defense sector, in particular the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Security Service, etc. Also, this document allows the creation of VLK at state and municipal health care institutions.
