Eight parishes of Khmelnytsky region moved to OCU

New parishes were accepted in the Starokonstantinovsky charitable district of the Khmelnitsky diocese, the press service of the diocese reports.

Today, May 2, in the Khmelnytsky region, eight Orthodox communities, previously under the jurisdiction of the UOC-MP, were transferred to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Khmelnitsky diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

“The Starokonstantinovsky deanery district of the Khmelnitsky diocese, by merging with the Single Local Orthodox Church of Ukraine, received parishes that emerged from the Moscow Patriarchate, namely: St. Popovtsy, the parish of the Holy Nativity of the Theotokos Church in the village of Penki, the parish of the Holy Intercession in the village of Gubno, the parish of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the theologian in the village of Zelentsy, the parish of St. George in the village of Vesnushka, the St. – the press service said in a statement.

Recall that the OCU held the first Easter service in the Lavra.
